The Angel Fish Dress

I call this dress ‘the angel fish dress’.

This piece is proudly part of my fast moving

Summer Collection for 2010.

It is bright colored and it has these strategically located ‘gills’ on each side of the dress.

Its so clever, and it’s done in a full ‘bias’ -

meaning cut on a diagonal, therefore it has a built-in stretch factor.

It is very difficult to sew on the bias, trust me.

Check out the weave of this dress – it is made from 100% linen, one of my fave summer materials.

Here are the ‘gills’ I mentioned earlier.

I love putting pockets on my summer dresses.

Pockets are simply wonderful!

You can stick in your mobile phone, credit cards, a hanky in each pocket.

The opera length is very flatteing if you have that round ponch to conceal…
